Pocket Lessons is the growing PMT video library. It breaks GCSE maths into clear, manageable teaching steps so students can revisit a method, fill a gap or revise one focused area without searching through unrelated content.
The library will continue to grow across the PMT programme. It is designed as structured support, not an unorganised collection of videos.
A clearer way to revisit GCSE maths
Students often know the broad topic they need, but a long video or a full recorded lesson can contain far more than the one step causing difficulty.
Pocket Lessons breaks learning into focused explanations. Students can choose the relevant lesson, pause the teaching, copy a method and replay a step until it makes sense.
The library supports independent learning while keeping the teaching consistent with the wider PMT approach.

Clarify a method
Revisit a topic that moved too quickly or did not make complete sense in a school lesson.

Choose the topics that need attention instead of watching large amounts of unrelated content.
Fill a gap
Return to a skill identified through a test, mock paper or teacher comment and rebuild it carefully.
Watching alone is not enough
The strongest use of Pocket Lessons involves pausing, writing, attempting examples and then practising independently.
If a student watches several videos without attempting the maths, it can create a false sense of understanding. One focused lesson followed by purposeful practice is usually more valuable.

Is Pocket Lessons included in Membership?
Yes. Full PMT Membership includes access to the growing Pocket Lessons video library alongside Live Lessons, recordings and Pocket Support.
Is the library the same as the live lesson recordings?
No. Pocket Lessons are focused standalone teaching videos. Recordings contain the complete scheduled live lesson and its full sequence of teaching and practice.
Can my child use the library at any time?
Members can use the available lessons through their PMT student area, subject to the access arrangements provided with their membership.
Does the library cover Foundation and Higher maths?
The library is being structured to support GCSE learning from core Foundation skills through to more demanding Higher content. Students should choose the lesson and level that match their current need.
Will the library contain every GCSE topic immediately?
The library is growing across the programme. Available lessons will be organised clearly, and further lessons will be added as the PMT curriculum develops.
Can Pocket Lessons replace attending Live Lessons?
They are most effective as part of the full system. Live Lessons provide the regular weekly structure, while Pocket Lessons help students revisit, catch up and target particular gaps.
