GCSE maths support from a qualified maths teacher
I created Pocket Maths Tutor to make GCSE maths feel clearer, calmer and more manageable for students and parents.
Full PMT Membership starts in September, with weekly live lessons, clear support pathways, Pocket Support and access to the Pocket Lessons video library.
Students often need structure, not just more work
Many students try hard with maths, but still feel unsure because they do not have a clear routine, regular support or the confidence to know what to do when a question looks different.
Pocket Maths Tutor was built to give students a calmer and more structured way to approach GCSE maths. The aim is to help students strengthen understanding, build confidence and feel better prepared for the next stage.
PMT is not about overwhelming students with more work. It is about giving them clearer teaching, better support and a structure they can follow.

Confidence can change when students feel properly supported
PMT is built around more than getting through content. The aim is to help students feel more confident, more positive and more willing to engage with maths.
“You have empowered them and made maths fun and enjoyable. My daughter has gone from not enjoying maths to now enjoying it and wanting to study A level, which I honestly wasn’t sure we would see.”

Clear teaching, confidence and trustworthy support
Pocket Maths Tutor is designed around the things families often need most: structure, reassurance, clear explanations and a support system that students can actually use.
Clear explanations
Students need methods explained carefully, with enough structure to understand what they are doing and why it works.
Confidence-building support
Maths confidence often improves when students know what to practise, how to ask for help and how to recover when something feels difficult.
Parent reassurance
Parents should feel clear about what support is available, how it works and whether it is the right fit for their child.
“I want PMT to be the place parents can turn to when they know their child needs support with GCSE maths, but they are not sure how best to help.”
A support system for different GCSE maths goals
Full PMT Membership is built around three support pathways so students can work at a level that matches their current confidence and target grade.
- Secure the 4, for students building confidence and key GCSE skills
- Smash the 5, for students aiming to become more secure with crossover topics
- Strive for 7+, for higher-attaining students who need stretch and challenge
Students can also use Pocket Support between sessions, so they are not left stuck until the next live lesson.
PMT is for families who want a clearer route through GCSE maths
The support is designed for students who need help building confidence, students aiming to secure important grades, and students who are capable of more but need structure and consistency.
It may suit your child if...
- maths confidence changes quickly
- revision feels random or inconsistent
- they need clearer explanations
- they are aiming for a Grade 4, 5, 6 or higher
- they would benefit from support between lessons
It may help you as a parent if...
- you want to know your child has a clear maths routine
- you are not sure how to support GCSE maths at home
- you want qualified teacher-led support
- you want a more affordable alternative to weekly one-to-one tuition
