Why Jumpstart?

Some students need a clearer starting point before the pressure builds

GCSE maths can feel difficult when students have gaps, low confidence or no clear revision routine. Jumpstart gives students a structured way to begin, with clear teaching and support from a qualified maths teacher.

1

They have gaps in key skills

A few missed methods can make later GCSE topics feel harder. Jumpstart revisits important skills that students need to feel more secure.

2

Confidence has started to drop

Maths can quickly feel overwhelming when students get stuck. Jumpstart is designed to make the basics feel clearer and more manageable.

3

They need structure, not just more work

Students often need a clear route through revision, rather than more worksheets, more pressure or random topic practice.

A useful first step

Jumpstart helps students settle into the PMT way of working

GCSE Jumpstart gives students a chance to experience the teaching style, structure and support before the ongoing membership begins in September.

It is especially useful for students who need to rebuild confidence, practise important GCSE skills and get used to a calmer, more organised approach to maths.

Jumpstart is separate from the September membership deposit. Families can choose Jumpstart now, reserve a September membership space, or contact me first if they are unsure.

Jumpstart can help if your child...

  • needs a calmer start with GCSE maths
  • has lost confidence with key topics
  • would benefit from clear teacher-led support
  • needs structure before the new school year
  • may continue into full PMT Membership from September

Calm, supportive teaching

Students often engage better when support feels manageable

Jumpstart is designed to feel clear, calm and useful. The focus is on helping students rebuild confidence with key GCSE maths skills, rather than making maths feel like another source of pressure.

This is why Jumpstart can work well as a short-term first step before full PMT Membership begins in September.
