GCSE MATHS REVISION
What to Revise for GCSE Maths
Use this GCSE maths topic priority list to see which topics appear most often across Foundation and Higher papers, then decide what to revise first.
GCSE Maths Revision Priority List
Knowing what to revise for GCSE maths can feel overwhelming, especially when there are so many topics across number, algebra, geometry, ratio, probability and graphs. This page is designed to make that easier. It brings together a large set of past-paper topic data and shows how often different topics have appeared across exam series, so students can make smarter revision decisions.
The table below is split by tier, so you can look at Foundation topics, Higher topics or both. Each percentage shows how often a topic appeared across the analysed paper series for that tier. A higher percentage does not mean a topic is guaranteed to come up next time, but it does show that it has appeared regularly enough to deserve proper attention in revision.
This works best when used as a revision priority guide, not a prediction sheet. Students should still revise widely, but this page helps them avoid missing major recurring topics. It is especially useful if revision time is limited and they need to decide what to secure first, what to revisit next and what to leave until later.
For the strongest results, start with the most common topics for your tier, make sure the basics are secure, then build outward. If a topic appears often and still feels shaky, that is usually a strong sign it should move near the top of the revision list.
Choose your tier, sort by appearance percentage or topic name, and use the search box to find specific GCSE maths revision topics quickly.
| Tier | Topic | Appearance |
